PSA Hot Cars

It’s that time of the year again. Parents, grandparents, care givers….it’s getting hot outside, please remember to remove your kids from the cars.
It takes only a few minutes for a child to overheat, suffocate and die in a car. Compared to adults, a child's body heats up three to five times faster. When left in a hot car, a child's major organs begin to shut down when their temperature reaches 104 degrees Fahrenheit, according to healthychildren.org.
In 2019 Pennsylvania passed a law to protect bystanders that going into action to save a child in distress. See the news article below in the link. Understand that this law is not a “go break windows in the parking lot of you local grocer”, but if indeed there is a child in distress you can assist that child.
Let’s keep our kids safe this summer and pull them from these hot cars.
