The Edgmont Township Community Day went off without a hitch yesterday. There were lots of events for the kids and some for the adults. Vendors of all kinds were there such as Randy Bates's woodcrafts, Fat Cow Jerky, Tobins Feed & Seed Den of Antiquities, Sugar & Spice, and many, many more.

Personally, I think the kids loved seeing the construction equipment, Army equipment and State Trooper cars, but they all told me their favorites were the "FIRE TRUCKS" and it was plain to see as their faces lit up with excitement as they were allowed to climb and play with horns, lights, and sirens. Plenty were on display as Edgmont Township Fire Company No.1displayed Engine 64, Engine 64-2, TAC 64, Brush 64-8 and our recently put into service, brand new UTV64. Middletown Fire Company brought their Squad and Quint and Newtown Square brought their Rescue.

After a full day of meeting and getting to get to know our community families, we did our break down, clean up, and headed back to the fire house to store and prep our equipment for that inevitable call.

We at ETFC want to thank all the families for stopping by our tent, checking out our apparatuses, and allowing us to get to know you a little bit better.
